Summary: | The Veresk bridge is a railway masonry arch bridge in Iran. It came into operation in 1936. Since 1977 is part of National Heritage and it is still an essential transport infrastructure. As this bridge has been monitored in 2016 installing a network of standard sensors (DCDT, LVDT, strain gauges and extensometers) it has been a good case study for assessing the relatively new monitoring technology of ground-based radar interferometry. The experimental data gathered by the radar interferometer are in substantial agreement with previous studies on the same bridge. |
