Summary: | Induction Heating (IH) Systems use the electromagnetic induction phenomenon for the applications of heating electrically conductive materials, especially metals. In this context, eddy currents are generated within conductive material and its resistance leads to Joule Heating Effect of the object. At the resonance, the equivalent circuit is pure resistive and the power transmission from the inductor to the workpiece is maximum. Therefore, the main purpose of this project is the detecting of the resonance frequency. In this case, it was used a measurement algorithm based on a fixed-point Digital Signal Processor (DSP), member of TI's family C5000 TM , named TMS320C5535. This digital system controls the switch frequency of the transistors from H-Bridge until the phase-shift between output voltage and output current of the resonant circuit is approximately zero. |
