Summary:In this paper, we propose the adaptive guard band allocation based on outage probability for the sub-bands with different numerologies on Nakagami-m fading channels in uplink cellular networks. First, we analyze inter-numerology interference and derive the outage probability of each sub-band in closed form. Then, the optimization problem is formulated to obtain the guard band assigned to each sub-band. The validity of the analysis is verified by comparing it to the Monte-Carlo simulation results. It is also shown that applying the guard band determined through the proposed algorithm can allocate smaller guard band than symmetric guard band allocation algorithm.
