Summary: | This paper develops an enhanced direct-quadrature (DQ) control strategy of single-phase voltage source inverter (VSI) for stand-alone distributed generation systems. As the proposal requires real and imaginary components, a new orthogonal signal generation (OSG) is designed to generate the imaginary component. The suggested OSG is based on an adaptive linear neuron. Since the proposal is not based on phase shift methods, it does not introduce any extra dynamics in the control loops. Moreover, in the developed strategy, the DQ scheme is justifiably simplified, making it easier to be implemented. The simplified DQ controller is evaluated through simulations using the average model. The proposed OSG is compared to the time delay- and second order all pass filter-based OSG methods. Obtained results concluded that the proposed strategy yields a simplified DQ controller with better performances. |
