description In the near future, the educational environment is expected to undergo major changes related to digitalization. The e-education system at universities creates new opportunities and new problems: an increasing amount of time for independent work of undergraduates and the active introduction of Internetbased technologies, accompanied by their constant updating and improvement. The article is devoted to the problem of organizing competence-oriented and professionally directed independent work of pre-service teachers, which integrates the study of Internet technologies by the project-based learning. The purpose of the article is to substantiate the feasibility of creating interdisciplinary electronic projects (e-projects) using Internet-based technologies for independent work of undergraduates. To assess the effectiveness of the training technology developed by the authors, criteria were developed for midpoint assessment of undergraduates' independent work and final control in the form of project presentation. There are described types of educational projects. The definition and characterization of an interdisciplinary e-project are given. Didactic properties and functions of Internet-based technologies were identified and analyzed. The results of the pedagogical experiment conducted in the Institute of Philology and Intercultural Communication of Kazan Federal University (IPIC KFU) on development of undergraduate's ICT competence performing group e-projects implemented by means of Internet-based technologies, are described. The proposed training technology of interdisciplinary eprojects, including a set of educational and cognitive techniques and procedures implemented in the e-environment and aimed at solving an interdisciplinary problem related to the types and tasks of professional activity. The phased and systematic use of interdisciplinary e-projects throughout the entire period of study at the university ensures a positive trend in the quality of professional training. The training technology that has proved its effectiveness can be used to organize the independent work of undergraduate and part-time students, and, with appropriate adaptation, in the system of retraining and advanced training of educators.
