Summary: | In this work we propose an auction-theoretic based mechanism to enable coexistence of LTE-unlicensed and WiFi. The contention-free rates that the different WiFi can achieve are allowed to be non-identical (which is in contrast to the existing models in the literature where the WiFi are assumed homogeneous). Using techniques from auction theory we characterize the solution in terms of Bayesian Nash equilibrium (BNE) bidding-strategies. We derive results illustrating the structure of a BNE strategy. We finally demonstrate the performance (in terms of achieved payoffs) of the proposed mechanism via. a detailed numerical and simulation study. |
