Summary: | A single-stage photovoltaic (PV) microinverter with integrated battery is proposed in this paper. The integration of the battery with the flyback inverter has been done with the minimum number of components which enables to accomplish high power density. Five power flow scenarios have been achieved among the three ports. The battery is used to store the surplus energy generated from the PV panel and as a backup power source in case the PV power is out of the permissible tolerance range or if it is not available. In this paper, the modes of operation and theoretical analysis are presented. Also, the performance of the proposed dual-input inverter is verified through simulation and experimental results. |
