Summary: | At the beginning of this paper, a general procedure of transformation of one class of analog ladder networks into discrete networks is presented. Discrete network is obtained by cascade connection of different two-port models which are described by z, y, g or h parameters, and any network functions can be calculated by direct application of simple Mason's rule. The values of multiplier coefficients in discrete networks depend on the redundancy parameter t, due to reactive component dependency on it. For such discrete networks the optimal multiplier coefficient values and corresponding spread are founded. The simplicity of this transformation procedure and the spread are illustrated in an example of band-pass filter. The spread in the multiplier coefficient values in the discrete network obtained by this procedure is less than the spread in the networks obtained by the other known procedures. The smaller spread, the more accurate the discrete network response. |
