Summary: | This paper presents the problem of integrating Photovoltaic (PV) based on decentralized sources into distribution power networks. The objective of this study is to search for the optimal site and size of a single PV Distributed Generation (PVDG or PVDS) to improve the voltage profile under technical, physical and operational constraints. The Biogeography-Based optimization (BBO) algorithm is applied to 10, 69, 85 and 118 bus test IEEE distribution networks using the MATLAB platform. The study yielded that voltage profiles of different test networks are significantly improved after optimal PVDG installation using the proposed algorithm. |
