Description
Summary:Intricacy of a power system is escalated in the penetration of photovoltaic (PV) source which offers zero damping due to the absence of inertia. Keeping this issue in addition to intermittent load/parameter change in the system, a reliable intelligent controller is essential to reap an improved response. In this perspective, a fractional order fuzzy proportional-integral-derivative (FOFPID) controller is recommended which is designed by a symbiotic organisms search (SOS) algorithm. With this, the superior performance of FOFPID controller is substantiated by contrasting with the response captured by FPID, and PID controllers. Reliability, and potential of FOFPID controller is examined by considering random load, as well as sporadic solar irradiation in the system. Thus, the acclaimed controller vows to produce profound results established as a secondary controller in automatic generation control.
