Description
Summary:The objective of this paper was to propose a realtime wireless monitoring system using the XBee connected with Arduino board, installed in a greenhouse with tomato plants, with dimensions of 12 meters long, 2.7 meters wide and three meters high. The proposed system helped to user to collect measurements from the sensors of temperature and humidity of the air, temperature and humidity of the substrate and amount of CO 2 , which facilitates keeping a record of the different states of the climate in the greenhouse. This, through a graphical interface that stores the data collected in real time in a .txt file. The results obtained from the proposed system were experimentally validated using commercial modules HOBO model U12, managing to show that with a low-cost wireless monitoring system the monitoring of physical variables within the greenhouse is viable, providing quality in the measurement and an alternative to tomato agricultural producers
