Summary: | The paper presents thermal studies of 20MW high speed permanent magnet synchronous generator (HSPMSG). According to fluid heat transfer theory and temperature rise characteristics of the 20MW HSPMSG, two effective and compact ventilation and cooling system is proposed. Using multi-physics field coupling method, the paper predicts temperature distribution of the two cooling systems. Finally, an optimal cooling structure suitable for HSPMSG is finally obtained. |
