Description
Summary:In this paper, a method for load frequency control (LFC) on the basis of echo state network (ESN) is presented to control the frequency stability of power system. Complex modeling of the power system for load frequency control is avoided in this method. In view of the network learning and approximation ability of ESN, the convergence speed of determining the controller parameters for power system can improved. Controller parameters are adjusted adaptively according to the changes of system data in real time. The output weights and the reservoir of ESN can be synchronously updated. The proposed method can achieve the desired value faster and smoother, and lessen the effect with the load change suddenly. The theoretical method is verified by simulations.
