Description
Summary:Various multimedia services such as network games and other audio/video applications cause traffic increases in the Internet, necessitating the interconnection of the IP networks and the ATM network. To interconnect IP networks and the ATM network effectively, efficient traffic control and scheduling schemes are required. We propose a novel buffer control and packet scheduling algorithm for the access point, which can cope effectively with the changing status of the network through the service point concept and the OAM cells.
