Summary: | Anticipating future mobile network conditions that follow the vehicle's route optimizes the in-vehicle application's strategic performance and user experience. Spatial context-awareness enables this kind of anticipation by monitoring vehicle location and parameters of the mobile network coverage's quality on the vehicle's route. Parameters linked to a location define geospatial data points. This paper presents a scalable approach for implementing the method for making the network coverage map from the collected data points and gives an overview of the used map-making methods until now. Our method considers the coverage parameters' fluctuations based on different days and hours. |
