Summary: | In this article, a single band partially grounded monopole antenna operating at 60 GHz has been proposed. A wideband 2X2 array artificial magnetic conductor structure is introduced to lower backward radiation and enhances peak gain further. The artificial magnetic conductor structure shows zerο reflection phase at 60 G. The integrated antenna further enhanced peak gain uptu 5.7 dB using AMC than that of partially grounded antenna alone. Excellent E-field and H-field isolation has been obtained at the respective band. The integrated antenna also reduced backward radiation and offered 8S% radiation efficiency at the designated band. The demonstrated antenna is useful for 60 GHz millimeter waυe 5G wireless applications. |
