Description
Summary:Two-dimensional (2D) ferromagnetism (FM) material is the promising candidate for the next-generation electronics, which have received a lot of attention recently. In this paper, we have investigated the Raman spectrum and its polarization dependence of VI 3 in four different structures including C2/m, C2/c, {\text{R}}\bar 3 and {\text{P}}\bar 31c from first principles. The Raman modes are analyzed based on group theory and compared with available experiments. Our results indicate that the polarized Raman scattering of VI 3 structure with the point group of C 2h is in good agreement with recent experiment. This will be helpful to solve the living debate about the crystal structure of VI 3 .
