A dog and fox oscillator simulation for the coupling between heart and lungs

An electric analog model of the possible interactions between cardiac and respiratory oscillations is presented. Two oscillators (called dog and fox) are connected to the inputs of a numerical exnor to give a qualitative simulation of the behavior of the correspondent physiological systems under nor...

Description
Summary:An electric analog model of the possible interactions between cardiac and respiratory oscillations is presented. Two oscillators (called dog and fox) are connected to the inputs of a numerical exnor to give a qualitative simulation of the behavior of the correspondent physiological systems under normal conditions. An effective decoupling of the two oscillators with the shift of the characteristic frequencies is shown.< >
