Description
Summary:Due to the rapid development of THz photonics, it became necessary to create detectors of THz radiation, which would simultaneously be high-sensitive, high-speed and work at room temperature. We demonstrate that the use of thermoelectric thin Bi-Sb films with high sensitivity to THz radiation may solve this problem. The films synthesized by means of thermal evaporation in vacuum were affected by terahertz radiation at the frequency of 0.14 THz. The temporal dependencies of a voltage drop and temperature difference were measured. The experimental results prove the possibility for the use of Bi-Sb films in THz radiation detection at room temperature.
