Summary: | Nonlinear transmission lines (NLTLs) provide high power RF production and solid state construction, which eliminates many auxiliary systems required by conventional HPM systems 1 . NLTLs use field dependent permittivity and/or permeability to achieve pulse sharpening and RF production. Hybrid NLTLs, which combine both nonlinear permittivity and permeability, have only been implemented previously as lumped element NLTLs 2 . We examine the feasibility of constructing hybrid distributed lines containing nonlinear magnetic and dielectric inclusions, which can tune both the linear permittivity and permeability 3 , 4 and the nonlinear permeability 5 . |
