Description
Summary:Our society is ever increasingly close to a technological environment in which the Internet of Things (IoT) is applied ubiquitously. In this context, real time monitoring is a basic requirement for viable investments. To take advantage from this communication systems, some position estimation algorithms can be applied with other sensors, like GPS, making position estimation more efficient and inexpensive. In this manner, looking for methods that can be precise with high accuracy, four trilateration algorithms based on Received Signal Strength Indicator (RSSI) were compared. This complete evaluation was based on Long Range technology (LoRa), as this new technology is already widely applied in Internet of Things.
