Summary:The Internet of Things (IoT) refers to an extensive visualization whereby "things" such as everyday objects, places, and environments are interlinked with one another via the Internet. Various devices arriving nowadays permit access that was unheard of only 10 years ago. But with this rise in accessibility, there is a rise in the need for strong security measures. With an enormous number of innovative devices projected to be associated with the internet in the next few years, there is an extensive variety of potential security threats faced by this ever-growing network. This paper is to survey the security-related issues surrounding the internet of things.
