Summary:Work plays a major part in most people's lives nowadays. Working environment has been changed radically. The labour market becomes more flexible and a well-written CV plays a vital role and makes an immediate impression on the people making the selection. The research focuses on IT job marker. Special attention is drawn to statistical profile of the candidate for a post in the field of information technologies. Methodical approach of modelling has been applied to single out the most appropriate adjectives to describe personal and professional qualities of a candidate, adverbs to sound powerful, verbs (action words) to describe job duties and word combinations as a part of descriptive phrase. A method of automated searching of linguistic units (MATLAB) was implemented for text mining and keyword occurrence in the texts. This is the first study reporting an advantage of automated searching of linguistic units to single out the emphatic vocabulary for a CV writing.
