description | DevOps is becoming an increasingly common approach to software delivery used by development and operations teams to make the software delivery process faster and more reliable. Today, many tools support DevOps troubleshooting, including Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) with typical case studies. When applied to game development, these general case studies require relatively high interaction costs, as some parts require further configuration. Therefore, this study aims to create a set of automation tools that support DevOps and CI/CD or known as the DevOps toolchain, which will be applied to the case of game development. The tool focuses on automating several processes in game development, namely game build, deployment to Steam, and error reporting. From the results of user reviews conducted to innovators and early adopters, the DevOps toolchain built can increase developer productivity by up to 2 times due to reduced interaction costs and optimization of several pipelines. |
