Summary: | The COVID-19 pandemic catalyzed a dramatic change in medical education paradigm, mediating a wider use of technology and adoption of open education models. In this paper, we analyze the challenges encountered along the way from the production of educational 360-degree video scenarios to their actual use in medical teaching. Evaluation was two-fold: (a) medical students' perception and attitude towards this technology and its actual effectiveness in teaching; (b) feed-back from the teachers and medical staff. The feed-back and concrete debriefing refer to the required one-semester course on emergency medicine taught during the autumn of 2020, when such videos were employed as a substitute for practical classes. |
