Description
Summary:This paper presents a sliding-mode control (SMC) strategy applied for single-phase grid-connected voltage source inverters (VSIs). The proposed SMC employs linear systems analytic tools to determine the closed-loop poles' suitable location, using a simplified structure for implementing the inner current control loop. Besides, the sliding surface definition considers the output voltage measurement. Simulation results obtained from a single-phase grid-tied VSI operating under different operational conditions demonstrate the effectiveness proposed solution. Also, a comparison between the SMC control and a Proportional-Integral (PI) controller was performed to demonstrate the proposed solution robustness.
