Electromagnetic design of six-phase LCI-fed synchronous motor

The approach of electromagnetic design for six-phase salient-pole synchronous motor fed by load commutated inverter (LCI) is presented in this paper. The commutation feature and the characteristics of power factor, harmonic loss, power flow and efficiency in the machine are taken into account.
