Summary:Recently, the open standards related to middleware DTV Play, as adopted in Brazil, were enhanced for incorporating integrated broadcast-broadband concepts, which usually allows access to broadband content and greater cooperation among elements in a local DTV network. Due to that, tests focused on traditional interactive applications may not be enough anymore. Besides, it may be exhaustive to manually validate whole network scenarios regarding its hypertext transfer protocol (HTTP) server, named Ginga CC Webservices, which often leads to long execution times and wrong measures and conclusions. The present paper addresses this problem and proposes a real-time analysis methodology for automatic testing the module Ginga CC Webservices. Experiments with an implementation based on it showed its efficacy, with testing procedures that are, in average, 66.84% faster than manual ones.
