Summary:The engineering methodology and results of calculations of electric power consumption for traction by electric vehicles of specific brands in driving cycles and in real operating conditions, which are accepted in the Russian Federation as basic and operational norms, are presented. In this methodology, the values of the basic norms of electric power consumption for traction of electric vehicles in driving cycles are determined in three ways, differing in a different set of initial data without loss of reliability of calculated estimates according to experimental data from manufacturers. The weighted average error of the estimated estimate of the electric power consumption for traction of 46 considered brands of electric vehicles of class M1 was 5.9%.
