Summary:An important issue in the development of technical systems is their protection from the effects of electromagnetic radiation, which can be solved by using conductive polymers. The mechanical properties of conductive polymers do not allow their use as independent coatings; nevertheless, they can be used as an active component of a polymer composite. In this work, samples were obtained by in situ polymerization of polyaniline or poly (3,4-ethylenedioxythiophene) polystyrene sulfonate on the MF-4SK ion-exchange membrane. The dependencies of the absorption coefficient on the thickness of the MF-4SK and the water content in the samples were investigated. The water content was changed by drying in air at different temperatures (20 °C and 80 °C), as well as by soaking the samples in distilled water at 80 °C. The best electrodynamic properties (the highest values of the absorption coefficient) are exhibited by the samples with the PEDOT:PSS filler at the largest thickness.
