Summary: | Improving the quality of processing heterogeneous materials on CNC machines can be achieved by correcting the processing mode in real time using feedback channels. One of the urgent tasks requiring research is to improve the quality of processing of composite materials using existing processing equipment, milling and lathes with CNC.The article discusses the implementation of the method of re-equipment of a milling machine with CNC in order to conduct research on the processing of composite materials. The machine control system is being modernized, a feedback channel based on an ultrasonic flaw detector is being introduced into it.The implemented hardware-software complex allows conducting research on material processing using a wide range of feedback parameters, such as measuring material density, detecting cavities, and others. An important factor is the complete preservation of the existing functions of the milling machine, which makes it possible to operate it in a backward compatibility mode, without using feedback. |
