Impact of Multiple Transmissions using Incremental Redundancy for 5G-MBS

Description
Summary:This paper presents an impact of the incremental redundancy (IR) based multiple transmission for providing multimedia broadcast multicast service (MBMS) under a cellular network. It is assumed that user equipments (UEs) are connected to the network and periodically feedback the channel quality. Taking into account the expected processing gain, we evaluate the coverage probability depending on whether the scheme of the multiple transmissions is adopted. The simulation result shows that the coverage probability can be improved by more than 10% under the considered analysis conditions.
