Summary: | IEEE 802.16e downlink communication system has the problem that the judgment threshold and time-varying channel cannot be adaptive, this paper proposes a low-complexity symbol synchronization algorithm based on S&C algorithm. The improved algorithm is based on the idea of dynamic threshold with low computational effort. In the complex multipath environment, the adaptive selection of the judgment threshold can eliminate the timing ambiguity problem in the traditional method and effectively reduce the timing position offset under the multipath channel. Simulation results show that the algorithm with complex mode-taking approximation in computational volume achieves a relative error of no more than 0.63%, which is 1.75∼4.4 times higher than other approximation algorithms of the same type. The newly proposed synchronization improvement algorithm can obtain symbol synchronization quickly and accurately at SNR>2dB, which is applicable to the synchronization of continuous burst OFDM systems and can reduce the probability of false detection of symbol synchronization estimation and effectively improve the timing performance of the system, and has practical application significance. |
