Digital Resolution Enhancer in PS-256QAM Transmission

We experimentally demonstrate the digital resolution enhancing (DRE) and clipping techniques into low-quantization-resolution probabilistically-shaped 256-QAM coherent optical transmission systems for the first time. The BER is decreased half order of magnitude with DRE combined clipping scheme.
