description The low-density parity-check code (LDPC) is used in this paper to implement a coplanar multiple-input multiple - output (MIMO) Ultraviolet (UV) communication system. This paper compares the performance of different receiver combining methods in the coplanar MIMO UV communication system and simulates the performance of the improved LDPC minimum sum decoding algorithms in the UV communication system. The results show that the offset minimum sum (OMS) and the normalized minimum sum (NMS) decoding algorithms outperform the minimum sum (MS) decoding algorithm in terms of bit error ratio (BER), and the receivers with the maximum ratio combination performs the best.
