Description
Summary:The description of cross coupling in 1D transducer arrays is approached with the formalism of guided waves. Electrical excitation of the waveguide is taken into account through the normal mode theory and global matrix method. Mechanical measurements on the surface are performed with an optical interferometer and compared with guided wave theoretical curves. Results show that guided wave theory describes the cross coupling phenomenon inside the array and supplies valuable performance evaluation parameters for 1D transducer array.
