Summary: | Magnetic pulse joining, a technique increasingly used in industry, is a process that enables the rapid assembly of similar or dissimilar materials in the solid state. This process is based on the generation of electromagnetic forces in a conductive part by means of an inductor carrying a variable and intense current, of pulse form. The numerical models developed under COMSOL environment are intended to study, analyze and predict the behavior of flat or tubular parts, assembled by magnetic pulse. The applications of this work are related to innovative industrial systems, particularly used in the automotive industry. The numerical results obtained are compared and validated by previous experimental works. |
