Summary: | The HVDC system has high efficiency due to low loss during long-distance transmission and has advantages in linking large-scale renewable energy sources compared to the AC system because it can inject a targeted amount of power to a specific point because it can control power flow. When renewable energy is connected using an extended Multi-DC Link system rather than a PTP type HVDC that simply connects two points, the efficiency and reliability of the system can be improved as well as the flexibility of the system, so that renewable energy can be more acceptable. In this paper, control strategy of Multi-DC Link and development of 4-terminal with hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) simulator is dealt with. |
