Summary: | The bypass switch for high voltage sourced converter valve is an important technical measure to ensure the removal of failure power module from the system. Its reliability is related to the safe and stable operation of high voltage sourced converter valve. This paper discusses the breakdown problem of bypass switch in high voltage sourced converter valve. By analyzing the characteristics of application conditions, combined with the breakdown mechanism of vacuum interrupter, the influence of square wave and power frequency on insulation is analyzed, and the insulation characteristics under square wave are obtained. The influence of contact burr and eccentricity on insulation is analyzed by simulation, which provides a way to improve the breakdown of bypass switch in engineering application. The electrodynamic force of the bypass switch is studied when the capacitor is discharged due to the breakdown of the bypass switch. Through the bypass breakdown test, it is verified that the bypass switch still has the ability of long-term current passing after the bypass switch breakdown. |
