Summary: | A double-layer reflectarray metasurface for generating orbital angular momentum (OAM) waves has been designed. Compared with the traditional designs, the oblique incidence and normal emission layout scheme was adopted in this design. The design of special incidence method reduces the influence of the field effect of the feed horn on the results. The structure with 285 elements consists of metasurface with double square rings printed on the F4B substrate, an air layer and a metal ground plane. Adopting suspension structure can reduce the magnetic coupling between the metasurface and the ground plane and make it easy for fabrication. The metasurface working on mode l=1 has been fabricated. The near field and the far field distributions have been measured and analyzed, which agree with the simulation results very well. This work has potential value for vortex wave communication and related applications. |
