Summary: | This paper presents a cost-effective quasi-resonant soft-switching DC-DC power converter using a novel phase-shifted PWM (PSPWM) scheme with a high-frequency transformer link. This power converter can completely achieve soft-switching operation under the small commutating current and no circulating current. As a result, the conduction losses caused by their currents is substantially reduced as compared with the conventional soft-switching PSPWM DC-DC power converters. The operation principle of this power converter and its performance analysis in the steady-state are illustrated and discussed on the basis of simulation and experimental results. |
