Fault distance calculation and arcing faults detection on overhead lines using single end data

A novel two-stage numerical algorithm for fault distance calculation and arcing faults recognition will be presented. The first algorithm stage calculates the fault distance. The second algorithm stage calculates the arc voltage amplitude.
