Summary: | Excellent control dynamics are of high importance for the machine-side as well as for the grid-side control of wind-power generators. On the generator side, perfect match to actual wind conditions and torque adjustment for gear-saving operation is vital. On the grid side fault-ride through and the connection to weak grids with low short-circuit power pose high requirements. This paper presents flux-based control concepts for both grid-side and machine-side converter assuming a synchronous machine as a generator and a back-to-back two-level converter topology for power electronics. Simulation results show the excellent operation of both controls with the choosen topology. (6 pages) |
