Summary:The effect of the operational amplifier pole on three standard differentiator circuits is investigated. It is shown that a practical differentiator results in a band-pass filter when the single-pole model of the operational amplifier is taken into account. This filter has low sensitivity to all circuit parameters and is suitable for medium frequency and medium Q-factor operation.
