Description
Summary:The recently constructed retrospective time-series of total ozone content at Arosa (46.47°N, 9.40°E) and Poluy River (66.1°N, 68.3°E) are used to detect the existence of long-range correlations. The multifractal detrended fluctuation analysis applied to the mean yearly values of the reconstructed total ozone content over both locations showed that the fluctuations of the total ozone content exhibit persistent long-range power-law correlations, for all time lags between 4 and 90 years. In addition, the same analysis applied to the yearly increments of the reconstructed total ozone values shows that it exhibits a crossover at approximately 11 years and persistent (antipersistent) long-range power-law correlations before (after) the crossover point.
