Summary: | In this work, investigations were carried out into the corrosion resistance of single- and three-layer bimetallic sheets produced by explosion welding. Investigations were carried out on the basis of a direct evaluation of the resistance of steels to intercrystalline corrosion, and the indirect method of determination of corrosion resistance, based on measurement of thermal EMF, was used. This method was applied for the first time to explosion-welded joints. Investigations were carried out on single- and three-layer bimetallic sheets produced by explosion welding using the parallel method. The cladding layer was in the form of sheets of 18-9 austenitic Cr-Ni steels. The load-carrying layer was represented by sheets of low carbon steel 20. |
