Summary: | Quality improvement programmes often aim at letting people work smarter. This article compares two different approaches, the Productivity Measurement and Enhancement System ProMES and Statistical Process Control SPC. It turns out that both approaches try to stimulate people in working smarter, although focusing on different issues and having different starting points in the process of implementation. A case study illustrates that in practice both approaches can be combined. |
