Summary: | An online harmonic elimination technique of the output voltage for a pulse-width-modulation-based voltage source inverter is proposed. The sinusoidal reference waveform of sine-triangle pulse-width modulation is modified using a separate signal of proper phase, frequency, and amplitude to reduce the total harmonic distortion of the output. The proposed scheme is simulated using the MATLAB 7.0 and PSIM 6.0 environment and is, subsequently, compared with experimental results. The scheme is simple and can easily be implemented without attempting the rigorous solution of the coupled transcendental equations usually required for normal selected harmonic elimination technique. |
