Summary: | A new, simple, precise, accurate, and rapid reverse-phase high performance liquid chromatographic (RP-HPLC) method has been developed for the simultaneous determination of fosinopril sodium and hydrochlorothiazide from tablets. column with a mobile phase composed of a mixture of methanol: water (40:60, v/v), adjusted to pH 4 with 10% orthophosphoric acid, was used to separate both compounds with sulfamethoxazole, as an internal standard, in a reasonable time period.
The linearity range for fosinopril sodium and hydrochlorothiazide was 1.6-30 μg/mL and 1-30 μg/mL, respectively. The detection limits for fosinopril sodium and hydrochlorothiazide were 0.29 μg/mL and 0.26 μg/mL, respectively. |
