Caesar presents a rapid overview of the temporal dimension of Moretti's thought, his evolutionist approach to the development of genres; the spatial dimension, represented in particular by maps; a summary of the principal objections to, or reservations about, Moretti's take on world literature; and some reflections on the implications of his approach for the practice of literary history.
